Human life is a miniature of the
diverse colors and attitudes of the universe. From the scorching heat coming out from the blaze of intolerable
conditions to the blistering cold coming out from the freezing winds of hardships, and
whatever lies between the two extremes, are the inescapable realities of human
life that every human being has to go through.
It is a very well-known fact that life
is a continuous journey that is made by every human being. But according to each
person's intentions, his destination and goals may be different. Incidents and
accidents are the milestones of this journey. Many factors, such as the various
obstacles and the trends in the availability of resources and faced problems, etc.,
determine the purpose of the journey, its direction, speed, and success or
failure.
In this difficult journey of life, human behavior, attitudes, ideas, actions, and their consequences are different, which are shaped by the person’s thoughts, beliefs, social affiliation, environment, religion, and the philosophical systems he follows. Every human being considers himself to be right in his perception, but the study of individual and collective behaviors and attitudes reveals the fact that in the course of human behavior, human interests often clash, stakes conflict, stances contradict, differences and enmities arise, human beings suffer from anxieties, face the consequences of mistakes, encounter failures, endure worries and sorrows, violate the rights of others and suffer the loss of his rights being violated, and from intellectual delusions to deviations in practice fall into every pit.
If every human thought and
attitude were right, the world would not be like this. Rather, in such a case, every
human being would always be calm and happy, and a seeker and traveler of
spiritual blissful destinations. But, when it is not so, then of course life is
lost from its right direction and true destination. Therefore, to know the true
destination and purpose of human life, it is essential to have an authentic
source that can guide him to the right path, save him from wandering, give him spiritual
peace, and guarantee him success in this world and the hereafter.
What are two ways of life?
Many philosophies have emerged in
the world to determine the right direction of life. If you look around, you
will think of wandering in all directions, aimless life, a spiritual vacuum,
search for peace in material resources, intolerance of opinions, and many other
ill attitudes that speak volumes about the failure of worldly systems and
philosophies. Therefore, to live a blessed and peaceful life, a human being
needs guidance that can save him from going astray and lead him to the right way,
adorn him with peace, and provide for his material needs as well as his
spiritual needs.
The religion of Islam has made
human thinking very easy and saved it from going astray. Till the Day of
Resurrection, Islam has revealed to mankind the two paths of good and evil, virtues
and vices, guidance and misguidance, truth and falsehood, straight and wrong,
truth and falsehood, success and failure, prosperity and deficit, salvation and
destruction, and happiness and misery. These two paths have been made crystal clear.
In the Holy Qur'an, in these
blessed verses of Surah Al-Balad, this fact is very beautifully stated in the
most comprehensive words:
{أَلَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ عَيْنَيْنِ (8) وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ (9)
وَهَدَيْنَاهُ النَّجْدَيْنِ (10)} [البلد: 8 - 10]
Did We not make for him two eyes (8), And one tongue and two lips (9), And showed him the two ways (10)? (Al-Balad, 90:8-10).

What is the most perfect and complete code of life?
The system offered by the
religion of Islam is the most comprehensive, the most perfect, and the most complete
code of life that encompasses all spheres of human life. Its scope includes all
areas of beliefs and ideologies, worships, financial affairs, social matters,
and moral teachings. Islam is a beautifully balanced combination of spiritual
and material teachings. One of its greatest virtues is moderation in its
teachings. Thus, it is the most acceptable religion and the easiest practical
code of conduct for human nature which is adaptable and workable in all times
and places till the Day of Judgment.
It is not limited to a few theories, nor is it a collection of certain rituals, it is not limited to worships, nor does it merely preach morality, but it contains the most perfect instructions on all aspects of life that are incredibly interconnected, entirely harmonized, and well-organized under a regular system.
What is the source of salvation?
The religion of Islam has not
left human thinking free to wander, but the criterion for judging right and
wrong has been declared to be following the will and intention of Allah
Almighty or to be against it. Therefore, what is pleasing to Allah Almighty is
right, and what is displeasing to Him is wrong. This is a very clear principle.
There is no room for philosophical nuances or delusions because it is
tantamount to paving the way for satanic thinking that leads to error and
eternal destruction.
The pleasure of Allah Almighty exists
only in the religion of Islam. It is the only source of salvation for humanity
and the only axis of worldly and otherworldly success. The success of humanity
and the welfare, prosperity, and justice of the world is only in following
Islamic religion. Whatever path is chosen other than or beside it is not
acceptable to Allah Almighty.
Allah Almighty says in the Holy
Quran:
{وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ
الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ}
[آل عمران: 85].
Whoever seeks a faith other than Islam, it will never be accepted
from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers. (Al-Imran, 3:85).
{الْيَوْمَ
أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ
الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا} [المائدة: 3].
Today, I have perfected your religion for you, and have completed
My blessing upon you, and chosen Islam as Din (religion and a way of life) for
you. (Al-Maidah, 5:3).

May Allah Almighty grant us
steadfastness in the religion of Islam, enable us to follow its teachings and
adopt them, and bless us with faith till the end. Aameen.
